Long week. Pooped.

Wow…where did this week go? I must’ve pulled some 11 hour days this week [compared to my usual 10 hour days] on top of spending some time today working on some Excel macros. Hmm…let me see if I can do a quick list now…

  • Wrote a memo to a government agency on technological recommendations
  • Prepped a meeting for one of our largest clients
  • Went to a high school alumni networking thing. Free beer is never a bad thing. [So are free school branded coasters!]
  • Went out to C’est What for Halloween with Elaine. Nice. Quiet. Delicious Food & Drinks. Not having to deal with people. Priceless.
  • Going to watch Religulous tonight…that’ll be a riot [finally].
  • Hmm…something else happened this week…what is it….oh right! Fallout 3. Fantastic game. Can’t say enough good things about it.

In case you’re wondering, work’s going great. I’m overworked, but at least I’m happy…unlike the job I quit at the beginning of the year.

Oh yes, a big shout out to Erika H. Thanks for the postcard. Have fun down-under.

Observations from the past week

This week’s been interesting.

  • Ellen Page may continue to be typecasted in roles where she gets into awkward romantic relationships with older men. I feel this needs to change.
  • Went to watch the UFC fight last night at Philthy McNasty’s. It was surprisingly very very entertaining. I might go again if the opportunity arises.

That’s pretty much it. Does it show I spend 10 hours at work every day?

Three Weeks In…

And I’m still getting my ass handed to me. I really don’t think there’s been a day yet where I haven’t learned anything new.

Things have been a little tiring this week, but people are starting to pay attention to my work. This is both good and bad. I’ll let you decide which.

Anyways, I’ve got stuff to do today [pick up an ironing board tops my list]. But leave comments if you want to know more!

Lates…

First week is end, finito, kaput…

Well, that was week one! What a week it’s been… Learned so much about how little I know about anything. Also learned how much Google plays around with their at model. I’m heading back to KW tonight to pack more this weekend. I’ll probably be up to something tomorrow night too.

I haven’t really got any good news on the housing front, but maybe next week…maybe.

Anyways, have fun at the con/wedding/camping trip/Radiohead concert/party or whatever you’re up to this weekend!

See you next week.

Ciao

So….

Things have been hectic of late and a lot of things have happened to me. One of these things is my impending move to Toronto because of my internship that will start up tomorrow. [I'll be in the vibrant area of Search Engine Optimization!] I’ll be heading into the city later today, and hopefully, by tomorrow, I’ll know how badly my apartment rental will screw me. My stuff will eventually follow me to Toronto in September. I’ll be staying at my sister’s place near Chinatown if people want to find me during the week. I’ll be heading up to KW in the weekends to continue packing and such.

I’m a bit scared and excited about these sudden changes in my life. But here’s to randomness! Cheers!

Busy couple of days…

So, I’ll be making a pretty hectic trip into Toronto tomorrow for some interviews and some apartment hunting. My schedule looks pretty tight, I hope I’ll be able to make it to all the places I said I was gonna go to.

Friday, back in Waterloo, another quick interview. Probably start picking up a few things like bins and boxes to prep for moving.

Saturday, back in Toronto doing the apartment hunting thing again. I should be free later that evening, if people in the city want to hang out briefly. Send me a quick email or leave a comment below.

Oh, let’s not forget SotC session Sunday. That will be a nice relaxing treat.

Still Alive

I woke up this morning with a hankering to listen to Still Alive. Found a copy online along with the Jonathan Coulton version.

Man, and I thought the Portal version was good…the J.C. version rocked my socks on the bus.

In other news, I’m still alive. Though that is arguable.

The Weekend

This weekend turned out to be the best weekend I’ve had in a long long time. Good food. Good friends. Good games. It definitely took my mind off a few things, and it got a few things off my chest. Thanks to everyone who was there.
