Hot Fuzz is another British genre-parody written by the same blokes who did Shaun of the Dead. This time around, they directed their attention towards the Police/Vigilante films, especially the Bad Boys franchise. A synopsis can be found here.

I found the movie highly enjoyable as the it drew upon a number of the successful comedic elements of Shaun and successfully parodied a number of other films in distant genres like The Stepford Wives and Kill Bill. The dialogue was also highly entertaining as it was able to play up the wonderful comedic timing of the two leads – Simon Pegg (who also co-wrote and directed the piece) and Nick Frost. The storyline
was also very well put together, with enough weird twists and
situations to keep audiences laughing to the end.

If you enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, you will definitely find Hot Fuzz a good watch as well. Highly recommended.
