Total Productivity!

Posted by Sam C.W. Leung under Personal

Didn’t think I’d get this much done today, but the kind weather outside compelled me to do so. Here’s a brief list of things I’ve done already:

  • Laundry
  • Started reading The Innovator’s Solution (for BET 603)
  • Cleaned my room AND filed all my formal papers/documents
  • Made soup (of the Chinese variety)
  • Took out garbage and recycling
  • Found my old bookmarks

Thanks to Carolyn, I was able to go down to the T&T yesterday and load up on necessary Chinese foodstuffs including instant noodles. I think I’m pretty much set for this semester.

This week will be a bit hectic though… I’m sure I’ll be more or less human by next weekend.

Till then.

Filmic Reviews – Hot Fuzz

Posted by Sam C.W. Leung under Reviews

Hot Fuzz is another British genre-parody written by the same blokes who did Shaun of the Dead. This time around, they directed their attention towards the Police/Vigilante films, especially the Bad Boys franchise. A synopsis can be found here.

Back from a hiatus

Posted by Sam C.W. Leung under Personal

My apologies for the hiatus in posting…Life has kinda caught me by the horns and hasn’t let go until…oh….4 days ago or so. It’s been a hectic time and if you’re still around, I’m glad you’ve stuck with me.

March and April went by with a flash, bang, fizzle, bang, explosive decompression and finally, an implosion, of sorts. But my second term of MBET is finally over and despite recent reports otherwise, I seem to have come through unscathed.

My break so far has been somewhat eventful. Boa Nova on Friday (somewhat disappointing due to lack of copious amounts of meat), and seeing Carol off that night (and surprising her with a pink DS lite later). Saturday was spent at party. Sunday was spent at Waterloo Park, dim sum, gelato, and losing my glasses. Today was spent replacing said glasses and filing taxes. I’ve been a busy guy!

This coming week will most likely be spent prepping for this coming term and beyond. I should spend time re-doing my resume and submitting that to a few choice positions, finishing my readings for some courses…start my HR assignment. Yea…totally need to start that. I haven’t heard news from people about their trip to NYC. I hope things went well for them. These next couple of weeks will be pretty exciting, and I hope I’ll find the time to blog about them once again.

Till lates.
